The Mitama Festival at Togo Shrine is a combined memorial service and lantern floating at the shrine's Sea Shrine (Umi-no-Miya). The ceremony honors spirits enshrined at the Sea Shrine and the ancestors of worshipers.
The event begins at 18:30 and offers a quiet, contemplative Obon-season experience in Harajuku. Free to attend.
東郷神社 みたま祭は海の宮で行われる合同慰霊祭と灯籠流し。海の宮に祀られる御霊と崇敬者の祖霊を慰めます。
