Roast Beef Ohno Harajuku Branch is the YM Square outpost of the popular roast beef rice bowl chain, located in the basement of YM Square Harajuku on Meiji-dori. Like its sister branches, it specialises in lavish bowls of thinly sliced, rare roast beef draped over steamed rice, drizzled with a rich, savoury sauce. The straightforward menu allows you to add extras such as cheese, onion, or a soft egg yolk to customise your bowl to taste. Service is quick and efficient, with a counter-seating format that keeps the turnover brisk, perfect for a filling meal without a long wait.
Conveniently situated close to Harajuku Station, this branch is open from 11:00 to 23:00, making it a reliable option for both lunch and late-night cravings. It tends to draw a steady stream of visitors, but the efficient service means queues move quickly even at peak times.

Our server was delightful. They speak English, so very easy to communicate. Food, although brand new to me, was amazing. Definitely something you can try, got the non-wagyu option and was less than 2000 yen. Will definitely eat it again if I'm in the area.

We came here and it was quite busy. There was a long line, and we waited about an hour to get in. The wait was worth it, though it was a bit annoying to see some tourists just sitting there on their phones, barely eating.

The beef bowl was delicious! The staff were incredibly polite and even asked about my language preference. No wait for a seat, and the food came out fast. The place wasn't loud even when crowded, which was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend!

So happy we didn't have to line up. The restaurant is small but service is quick and nice.
